Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Aykut Arıkan from Istanbul Gelisim University talked about cyber bullying to the students of Güneşli Anatolian High School and Science High School.
Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Aykut Arıkan warned students to be careful when using social media. Stating what needs to be paid attention when using social media, Arıkan said: “If you encounter a negative situation, please share it with your family first. If you do not share with your family, tell it the guidance counselor at your school. In addition, it should not be ignored that serious psychological effects may occur in such cases. If you need support, consult a psychologist.” Arıkan also argued that the students should be connected to the outside world in order to socialize. He said that constantly being on the phone and computer could have negative effects on general culture and socialization.
